xAI opens Grok Bot to whole enterprises

xAI launched Grok Bot for enterprises on September 3, expanding a product that entered early beta on August 11 and, in August, was mainly available bundled into more Cursor subscription tiers. The enterprise version is a different move: administrators can now enable Grok Bot organization-wide and invite employees who don’t already have a seat, and xAI is offering existing Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers a trial period of two weeks to test it.

Each Bot gets persistent memory, its own cloud computer environment, browser access, and files, and can coordinate with other Bots on recurring tasks across sales, recruiting, marketing, finance, and engineering workflows without needing a fresh prompt each time. xAI added a Bot roster, presence indicators, inline cards and widgets, and shared group chats to support that always-on model, echoing the persistent-agent direction OpenAI took with Presence.

The practical shift for operators is governance, not capability. A Bot with standing memory, its own environment, and the ability to act without a prompt is a bigger surface to secure than a chat assistant, so the admin controls xAI is emphasizing (who can enable Bots, for whom, and with what access) are the feature to actually test during the trial window before deciding how far to roll this out.
