Wonderful raises $550M, hits $5B valuation

Wonderful, the Israeli-Dutch startup building what it calls an AI operating system for the enterprise, closed a $550 million Series C on September 2 at a $5 billion valuation, up from $2 billion just six months earlier at its Series B. Insight Partners led the round. Salesforce came in as a new backer, joined by a group of returning names from earlier rounds: Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer. Wonderful has now raised more than $800 million in total.

Since the Series B, Wonderful says it has expanded into more than 35 markets and grown to 650 employees, evolving from a workflow-automation tool into a platform customers use to automate end-to-end processes, build AI-native applications, and coordinate agents across departments. Annual recurring revenue is on track to hit roughly $100 million by year-end, up from $55 million earlier in the year, according to the company; that revenue growth, not just the valuation multiple, is the number worth watching, since it’s what separates a funding story from an adoption story.

The round lands the same week Salesforce also backs the raise as an investor rather than a competitor, an unusual pairing given Salesforce runs its own enterprise agent platform push through Agentforce and its Fin acquisition. It suggests incumbent SaaS vendors would rather hold equity in an AI-OS layer than lose enterprise workflow ownership to it outright.
