Snapchat will no longer let fully AI-generated videos earn Spotlight payouts or promotion, pushing its creator program back toward human-made content.
Snapchat said its Spotlight recommendation system will stop promoting and paying out fully AI-generated videos, restricting eligibility to content made by real people. Content that uses AI tools for editing or enhancement can still monetize if it’s original and the AI use is disclosed, joining LinkedIn and YouTube in pulling back rewards for pure AI-generated content.
