Patreon moves from asking to blocking AI

Patreon is now actively blocking AI training crawlers via Cloudflare, instead of only requesting they stay out through robots.txt.
Patreon said July 16 it is extending its work with Cloudflare, using its AI Crawl Control technology to actively block AI training bots rather than just asking them not to scrape via robots.txt. The company cites more sophisticated crawlers and new discovery features, like a redesigned Home Feed, that could otherwise expose more creator content.
