The @ai-sdk/[email protected] package, released July 6, emits provider-executed tool results for completed xAI Responses API streaming tool calls.
The @ai-sdk/[email protected] release on July 6 adds native emission of provider-executed tool results during xAI Responses API streaming calls. When xAI executes a tool and completes the call, the result now arrives as part of the stream rather than requiring separate retrieval. The update shipped alongside [email protected], which preserves signed tool approval metadata when recording approval responses.
