Starting July 15, TIDAL will not pay royalties to 100% AI-generated music, will tag those tracks with an “AI” badge, and will remove them from recommendation systems. Automated tools will detect and remove AI-generated tracks that impersonate specific artists. The policy applies only to fully AI-generated work; tracks where AI tools were used alongside human creativity are outside the scope of the current rules. TIDAL positions the move alongside similar policies at Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer.
