Nvidia open-sourced its cuFile APIs, which move data directly between storage and GPU memory, and launched the Storage-Next initiative with storage partners to address the intensive data-movement demands that agentic AI workloads place on infrastructure that was largely designed for training, not constant read/write agent loops.
