Robotics startup Humanoid raises $152M

London-based Humanoid raised a $152 million Series A at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation, the company announced July 23, bringing its total funding to $270 million two years after founding. Prime Movers Lab led the round, with Schaeffler, Bosch, Taiwan’s Fubon Financial Holdings venture arm, and the Arnault family’s Aglaé Ventures also participating. The company calls itself Europe’s first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn.

Humanoid builds HMND 01, a wheeled industrial robot run on KinetIQ, its own four-layer AI framework, and has already secured a 1,000-robot order from Schaeffler. The more consequential detail is the manufacturing side: Robert Bosch GmbH is now Humanoid’s contract manufacturer, providing hardware design, production capacity, and supply chain expertise, with capacity earmarked for up to 100,000 units. CEO Artem Sokolov called it the resources to “move even faster”; Schaeffler CEO Klaus Rosenfeld said humanoid robotics is “rapidly moving from a visionary concept to an industrial reality.”

For operators watching the physical AI space, the funding number matters less than the Bosch deal. Plenty of robotics startups raise large Series A rounds; far fewer line up a top-tier industrial manufacturer to build tens of thousands of units. If you’re evaluating vendors for warehouse or line automation over the next two years, Humanoid’s production capacity commitment is a stronger signal than its valuation.
