Amazon Quick dashboards get a mobile layout

Archive item — written before sources were shown.

Amazon Quick (QuickSight) dashboards now auto-render as a single-column, touch-optimized view on phones and tablets, with no author changes required.

AWS shipped a mobile layout for Amazon Quick (formerly QuickSight) dashboards that automatically detects a phone or tablet viewport and renders Free Form dashboards as a single-column, touch-optimized view instead of the pinch-and-zoom experience of a desktop layout squeezed onto a small screen. Visuals stack vertically and fill the screen width, grouped visuals render together as single units, and the feature activates automatically for existing dashboards with no changes required from authors or admins; authors can optionally group overlapping visuals to tune the mobile view further. It’s available across all supported AWS regions now.
